It's a Vampire Weekend

I got a late start on the outfit front today because I got a massage, sought advice for a dog who I recently found out has anxiety, and picked up this tiara at Claire's because this outfit demanded a tiara, damn it!
Anyway, Vampire Weekend is my new musical infatuation that I can not get over. Hence, the title and music.
Sorry about the excessive pictures. I got into it.

I got a new tattoo! Please excuse the tape marks and slightly irritated skin.

A Little Funk

I know I've been gone for a while. The cold temperatures compounded by the fact that January is the month where teachers (including myself) experience the lowest moral, has led me into a real funk that borderlines depression. I've mostly just wanted to stay home in my sweats and sleep. I've been trying to pull myself out, mostly to be active on the blog again, but we'll see whether or not that is effective. Anyway, I'm trying to liven up my life with a little retro style, which is something I've gotten away from in the last year or so. We'll see how it works out.

The L Word

This dress is now officially my favorite. It is yummy!
I'm watching "The L Word" on LOGO right now. Such an unforgiveable guilty pleasure.

Wooden Sole

Again, yesterday's outfit. These shoes are so freaking sweet. My studetns adored them beyond all comprehension. I figured they would mock me for their retro feel (which I would have thrived off of), but instead they went crazy for the shoes.

Good as Gold

These shoes are heaven. I thought the heels looked like the spires you see in Moscow and the ruffle looks like an Edwardian blouse. A co-worker mentioned that she thought the heel looked like a unicorn and I like that about as much as my own crazy idea.
