A White Christmas Indeed

Just a few images for us all to devour this holiday season.

Christmas Eve

Christmas time seems to be a time of difficulty for my camera. Some of my older readers will remember that this time last year I dropped my camera and had to get a new one. Now, I have not only ruined my memory card, but I bent the cord receiver for the camera, so I have to get myself a card reader. In the meantime, I am using my sister's card reader on her laptop. Hopefully, after I come home from from San Fransisco (I leave on the 26th), I will get a new one and be back in the game. I miss blogging so badly!

We have a winner!

I finally chose a winner for the shopbop giveaway. The Winner is Faith J! Congratulations and thank you all for participating. It was so fabulous reading all of your entries.

Sadness

This is how I feel, right now.
So, my camera is being very funky right now and it has me quite depressed. For whatever reason, the computer has stopped recognizing my memory card. I can take pictures and view pictures on the camera, but the drive doesn't pop up in My Computer so I can't upload them. I'm really struggling with it, as I love blogging and I'm missing it desperately. I am heading into a camera store tomorrow and I will update you all as soon as possible. Just know that I have not abandoned you and I will be back as soon as I am able.

My Heart Beating like a Bomb in a Birdcage

So, the freezing temperatures made me want nothing but comfort. I was also irrationally afraid of falling on the ice, so I opted for a week of motorcycle boots and converse all stars.
Today, I was so desperate to dress up, I did it for no reason at all except that it was Sunday. However, when I put on my shoes, I struggled with walking! The muscles in my feet had gotten used to flats and I was stumbling like a drunk. It took about 10 minutes of picture taking for me to finally get my sea legs. Don't worry, though, I'm back in the saddle again.
I can't remember the last time I've worn flats this long. Probably in college?

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry!

Sorry for the absence. I've been moving, dealing with getting my wireless set up, struggling through negative degree temperatures, ice, and freezing pipes. It was a freaking weird week!
Anyway, I realize that the contest I was running ended seven days ago and I promise that I will select a winner this week. I will try to be around this week, but my internet is still not up, so we'll see what happens.

Dinner and a Wii

I am off to have dinner and play the Wii with one of my co-workers and her husband. I need to wear this scarf more. I love it so much!

Busy, Busy, BUSY

I'm in a bit of a rut clothing-wise. I'll blame it on the alternation between bitter cold and excessive snow. Also, I needed a pretty easy outfit today. I started out the morning by stewarding for a beer competition (so I was drinking at about 8:30am--yikes!), then I snuck in a trip to Saver's and was pretty successful before going to my last puppy training class.
Then, I headed over to Nordstrom Rack to return those shoes I asked you all about. However, when I got there, the lady at the cash registered asked me if I wanted to keep them since they were now 35% off. I decided to keep them and just do a price adjust. They were that much more appealing at thirty dollars cheaper.

The Bender

These shoes are completely impractical right now (what with the weather being only 9 degrees, currently), but I am on a shoe bender. Plus, how fortuitous that I would find yet another pair of 70' shoes, this time closer to what I wanted. These Michael Kors were at DSW. I never frequent DSW, as I am perpetually disappointed. However, I had an appointment to get my roots done and I was early. There happens to be a DSW across the street from my salon and so I ventured forth. These babies were originally over $200, but I got them for $28! They are so damn ugly no one else wanted them, but fortunately for me I love ugly things.

The Substitute

I have been pining for a pair of vintage 60's platform wedges (preferably in wood), but unfortunately, have yet to find one.
Well, during a break in my tutoring this evening, I stopped by Nordstrom Rack. I was super disappointed in their selection, but right before I was about to call it a day, I found these platforms.
I'm still contemplating whether or not to keep them, because, eventhough I love them, they feel a little bit 90's and not as 60's as I was hoping for.
What do you guys think?
